Items and Upgrade Components in World of Warcraft
Upgrading items can be an excellent way to increase the value of your weapon and armor. Upgrades to common or magic gear are rarely worth it, as rare or unique items will soon surpass them.
Upgrades can be made to an item up to six times. Each upgrade will add to the gauge of the item.
Glyphs

Upgrade components are not able to be used for crafting new items.

Suffixes can also alter the pronunciation of words. For instance the suffix -er in English and German's suffix -ismus. They can also alter the spelling of words. For instance the word defenseless is changed to unprotected.
There are many kinds of suffixes that range from verbs and nouns, to adjectives and adverbs. Suffixes added to words can alter their meaning or pronunciation, and some have specific rules that apply. Suffixes can also be used to modify the grammatical rules for words, for example, adding -ness to make the word an adjective, or -ic to make the noun possessive.
